The following information contains spoilers. The night ends once the player reaches 6 AM. Failing to do so in time will result in Golden Freddy jumpscaring the player. The player needs to hold SHIFT to close their eyes, which will make Golden Freddy disappear. Golden Freddy will appear as a hallucination and will completely obscure the screen, although it is not physically present. It is necessary to wait for them to leave before continuing with the suit. Moving the mouse or using SPACE to open the suit while they are at the door will cause them to jumpscare the player, resulting in a game over. Freddy and Bonnie share the same mechanics: both will appear at random intervals and open the door to Backstage and check on the player.

The animatronics active during Night 5 are Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, and Golden Freddy. The SPACE key can be held to open the suit and regress the progress bar seen in the top right, which tracks how long the player has to open to suit before being killed. The springlock suit will slowly close in and will kill the player if allow to completely shut. The night begins at 2 AM, and the player must survive until 6 AM to complete the night. However, most players should be able to get through this night without many issues, even without the use of this strategy. The player begins Backstage at the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza from FNaF 1, trapped inside a Springlock suit. The player will only really need to open the monitor to turn off the camera when Photo-Negative Mickey enters the Office, thus conserving power that would otherwise be used looking around on the cameras. The most conservative strategy is to turn the lights off for about 5-6 seconds, turn them back on, then repeat for the duration of the night. He starts moving later on in the night (around midway through the phone call), only making about 2-3 visits to the player's Office. The only character who threatens the player on this night is Photo-Negative Mickey, and since this night serves as an introductory to the game, he isn't very active. The screen brightens up and starts violently shaking before the cutscene abruptly ends. The player is treated to a cutscene at the end of the night, which puts them in the prespective of an unknown individual who is revealed to be in what appears to be a cellroom. He also reminds Jake not to mess around with the expensive equipment present in the building, before hanging up. The night starts with Jake recieving a phone call from Greg, alerting him of an inverted Mickey character that traverses the building through the use of sound, and that shutting off the cameras will create sounds that lure him away. This night mainly serves as the player's prime opportunity to get accustomed to the mechanics of the game. Night 1 is the first night the player must complete in Treasure Island.
